M.2 Slot Configuration & Compatibility (Critical): This board features three distinct M.2 slots:

  • M.2 Key M (2242/2280): For NVMe or SATA SSDs (storage).
  • M.2 Key E (2230): For Wi-Fi & Bluetooth modules (e.g., Intel CNVi/AX series).
  • M.2 Key B (3042/3052): For 5G/4G LTE cellular modules (ensure module compatibility).

Ensure you purchase the correct module type for each slot. They are not interchangeable.

Configurable I/O (LAN & USB):

  • LAN Ports: Choose between single or dual Gigabit Ethernet configuration.
  • USB Ports: The number of USB 2.0 ports (4 or 6) is directly tied to the LAN configuration (single LAN = more USB 2.0).

Specify your desired LAN port count when ordering.

Serial Port Configuration: The six COM ports default to RS232. The optional RS485 functionality for up to four ports must be specified at the time of order.
Dual Voltage Input: The board accepts both 12V and 19V DC input. Use only a stable, high-quality power adapter within the ±5% tolerance. Do not mix voltages; select one and use it consistently.
Wireless Module Considerations: For the M.2 Key E (Wi-Fi) and Key B (5G) slots, functionality depends on operating system drivers for the specific module installed. Verify driver support for your chosen module and OS.
Power & Thermal with Wireless Modules: Adding a 5G module and Wi-Fi card will increase power consumption. When fully populated with wireless modules and an SSD, ensure adequate power supply capacity (recommended ≥ 60W for 12V, ≥ 40W for 19V) and consider enclosure ventilation for optimal fanless operation.
